This photograph was this summer and was the first time we went out for camping by ourselves, and it was a great experience: we met great people and beautiful landscapes, as seen in the photograph. It shows four of us (but there is no good because one of them covers the other one a bit), the mountain, many trees and half a tent, which is hardly well.

This is one of my favorite photos for many reasons. First, because there are people very important to me, they are my best friends, who I know from long ago. Moreover, just look at it reminds me every day we were there and all we did. And obviously we'd like to go back many more times in the future.

U-cursos

Today I’d like to recommend a very useful web site I found and I visit frequently. It is called U-cursos (www.u-cursos.cl), and consists on a tool specially designed for students and teachers. It includes a lot of information about different topics where you are allowed to add texts, programs and commentaries. We can also use this page to contact students and teachers who can publish information, papers, home works and even grades in the case of teachers.

U-cursos is a web site used only by some students from the Universidad de Chile so it is not available to all the people. This program comes from Infotech Are (ADI in Spanish), that tries to keep a fluent on-line communication among Universities and some colleges.

Technologies to connect to the world…

Today I’m going to talk about my favorite piece of technology. This is the notebook… I think that it’s a great form “to connect to the world” and the place where we are isn’t so important, because today finding a wireless connection is easy, especially in public places and that permit us to be freer. I think that the main characteristic of the notebook is that it’s light, powerful, durable ... and today the price is affordable.

I use the notebook every time I need to do different things: for work, communicating with my friends, my family and others or for distraction, because we can create CDs, manage photos, watch DVDs, download and edit video and so on.

I think that at the present time a notebook (or other computer) is very important for us. A lot of services are online and many others will be there, so I think that “we need” to be connecting and learning to use them.
